What is Emmaus

The mission of Emmaus Ministries is to disciple and equip the Body of Christ with the Word of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ through Inductive Bible study, authentic relationships, and community life.

This is done in three distinct way:

  • A 10-month Inductive Bible Study & Discipleship School that brings students face to face with Jesus Christ through observation, interpretation and application of the Bible. We have three tracks with which to engage, Residence, Commuter and Audit.
  • The Biblical Narrative Program that walks through the purpose and meaning of every book of the bible in ten monthly lectures.
  • The Biblical Literacy Program that gives local congregations the same tools we teach at our school in a compact and convenient setting for anyone.

As partners with Emmaus we seek to share with students not only God’s Word, but also our lives, endeavoring to communicate and exemplify biblical truth and it’s relevance to all aspects of life. We strive to better enable Christians to flourish in the fullness of life, making no distinction between sacred and secular callings. It is our goal that students leave with a thriving relationship with God rooted firmly in the grace of the gospel and equipped with an understanding of the Bible; herein lies the source of healthy relationships and a life led by the Holy Spirit that impacts the world for Christ.

“…Our Delight is in the law of the Lord, and on God's law we meditate day and night. We are like a tree planted by streams of water….” Psalm 1:2
